The Good Sister

The Good Sister The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this book.  This amazing story starts off slow.  About twins, sisters and best friends.  But as close as they are, there is something wrong.  Fern, who although not stated is autistic and has sensory problems is quite rules by her sister, Rose.  Fern thinks that Rose is just looking out for her but things get a bit weird because Rose is protecting her from their sociopathic mother but we soon find out there are ulterior motives behind all that Rose does.

At first you do not understand it, although you see hints here and there.  Until Fern becomes pregnant and Rose feels she must protect her even more.  But what does protection mean to Rose and what role does her mother play in all this?  It isnt until the last few chapters do we see it all start coming together and who actually is the good sister.

Loved the suspense, and unpredictability of this book.  The story has you turning pages, feeling sad and sorry at the same time.  Put it on your TBR list as it will be out in April 2021.  #NetGalley #fivestars
