Havent read a Hoover book that I didnt like. This one does not disappoint. While it deals with domestic violence it didnt only deal with the painful side but also with the psychological side. We find Lily dealing with a hard life growing up; then meeting Atlas, a homeless boy, whom she befriends and only when she ends up owning her own business does she meet Ryle. Who is handsome and very stubborn, arrogant and not the marrying type.
But Lily is attracted to him and soon a relationship starts. Little does Lily know that she is headed for a rocky road ahead of her, especially when Atlas turns up in her life again.
Very passionate and disturbing and powerful. A must-read book. #fourstars #audiobook
