The New Husband by D.J. Palmer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I received this ARC from Netgalley and was thrilled since I had already read Palmer's other book, Saving Meghan. A great writer and one who didnt disappoint me with this book.
Just because you love someone doesn’t mean you know them. Nina Garrity learned that the hard way after discovering that her missing husband, Glen, had been leading a double life with another woman. But Glen's gone—presumably drowned while fishing on his boat—so she can't confront him about the affair or any of his other misdeeds.
I this is how the books starts. We all think the worst of Glen as his wife did, but somehow she carries on, even to find a new boyfriend. One her daughter has doubts about. Halfway through the book part of the truth comes out (no spoilers here) and we find out what really happened when Nina lost her husband.
Nina is also finding out her new husband-to-be isnt what he seems although her daughter has been trying to tell her. This book is a page turner and has you sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for the other shoe to drop. Put it on your TBR list when you is finally released in April 2020. You wont be disappointed. #Netgalley #fivestars
