Review: The Songbird Girls

The Songbird Girls The Songbird Girls by Richard Jay Parker
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first time reading this author. And I wasnt disappointed with this story. Apparently this is the second book about Det. Fabian but it didnt matter that I didnt read the first book. It starts with Det. Fabian and his involvement with a serial killer, Christopher Wisher. Wisher is behind bars and three years later Fabian is summoned to Wisher's cell and handed a diary to read. Shortly after, Wisher commits suicide by hanging himself.

The diary now is full of statements Fabian doesnt understand until the killings start again, exactly like Wisher did previously. But Wisher is dead - who is doing the killings? and what does the diary have to do with it? It goes along until we come up to Fabian's daughter who apparently has a new boyfriend...and gets involved in these killings.

I would have given it 5 starts except I wasn't happy with the near ending. It sort of swerved off in a direction I wasn't ready for and was disappointed in. I would read his other books though as it was a fast read and kept me turning pages...
