Saving Noah by Lucinda Berry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Wow, need a heart wrenching book to read? I stumbled upon this book recently through Goodreads and could not put it own. Not my usual genre of mystery/thriller but a book that will have you turning the pages way into the night.
The author herself is a psychologist who deals with childhood trauma and writes this book eloquently but it will get into your soul, especially if you are a mom.
We read about Noah, who is at war with himself when he confesses to being a pedophile to his mom, Adrianne. And from there we follow her love and her pain in helping Noah. I also realized she was alone in her quest getting no help from her husband - but you find out why later in the book.
As a mom, I know we will do anything for our children....but Adrianne's protection of him was above and beyond. Make sure you have tissues with you when reading.
