Came home yesterday to the

lights being off in my house and the whole block.  A neighbor said at 10 am they heard a pop noise and then all electric went off.  So when I returned from work it was already getting dark and the grandkids were crabby because you know in todays electronic world....they were bored.

So I proceeded to order pizza for dinner, lit some lanterns and entertained them until the batteries ran out on the IPad and Ipod....then they fell asleep (bored)....so I sat by lantern lights and./

Fortunately the lights went back on at 6 pm....saving the day.....what did people do back then?  And why are we so spoiled......I loved the quiet....read a bit, ...
