My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I read this book as a continuation to her previous one, NEVER BE ALONE. This one, while good, was a little too graphic for me. Not in a sexual way, but in demeaning and brutal scenes. The story centers around Tony, who is a lost child, parents kick him out of the house and he is homeless for a while, then joins a gang who does despicable things. He also finds friends, who are in the Mafia and Tony is torn between these two. Good things do happen to him and he cherishes those fleeting moments.
A sad story but a real one as there are many teenagers out on the streets who go through a lot that Tony did. I would recommend the book if you are not turned off by violence. #threestars
