I am not a fan of cowboy stories but read this one as part of a reading club. I must say that even though this took me out of my usual genre, I loved it. Fast reading, heartbreaking sometimes, we follow Mallory Chance who just left her controlling boyfriend, Jared for a new life in cowboy country. She wants a carefree life, no attachments and happiness as a midwife in a small town.
But we all know that will not happen when she meets cowboy, Colt Daniels who is also broken with his own baggage. Of course they hook up but the healing begins with both of them. Loved the story and a new author to add to my ever growing list.
