My rating: 5 of 5 stars
If the author is Bette Lee Crosby, then the book is purchased. Even if I didnt know what the book was about, I buy it. I have never read a book by her that I didnt like - no make that LOVE. And so this one was hard to put down and so, so interesting.
I would suppose we have all heard of the San Francisco earthquake that happened in 1906 and this story happens during that time. We follow Templeton and her life with John Morehouse. They marry and move to San Francisco. While Templeton is visiting her parents, the earthquake happens. He's in San Francisco at the time and this is where we encounter the love, suspense and fright of losing someone you love dearly. This was such a powerful story that I had to consult the internet and find out everything that happened during the earthquake. The devastation was brought to life by this author and I felt every heartbreak and fear that Templeton felt.
I love all her books and of course this one did not disappoint. I always look forward to reading her books. #fivestars
