When Hannah Williamson goes back to Mississippi to care for her grandmother, she also goes to work for a local newspaper. She is given boring work to clean out the archives in the basement. But the series of rejected articles she deals with reveals many accounts of long hidden mysteries. She comes along a story of Evelyn and is relentless in finding out the story behind her.
I was totally hooked on this book and turned page after page wanting to find out Evelyn's story. A sad, heartbreaking and traumatic story....only to find an answer that I didnt expect to be in this story. Evelyn's story not only brought closure but also had the power to change lives.
