Pressing Flowers by Katie Blanchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Miriam Jones is merely existing.
Three years ago, the cruelty of the world robbed her of her husband. Preferring to sleep through the days rather than face her reality, Miriam has yet to begin the grieving process.
However, reality knocks hard. And so we learn how Miriam gets out of her depression and starts living life again. But things dont get better and Miriam has a lot to deal with. I love Katie Blanchard books but this one was a bit different from her others. Not only did she deal with death but also cancer which makes this book hard to take if you or someone you know has been through it.
But it was written from the heart and deals with it in an endearing and loving way. Dont forget the tissues.
