The Waiting Room by Emily Bleeker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I originally was giving this book three stars - if I was even going to finish it. It centered around Veronica and her baby. After her husband was killed she went such a deep depression she could not even hold, much less take care of her baby. Her mother lived with her to help her through this time, and Veronica also went to a therapist to help her cope.
It was slow but interesting, so I didn't give up reading. And I was so glad I didn't. Once the baby was kidnapped things started to pick up but along with that there were deep, deep secrets. Then she became a prime suspect in the disappearance of her baby..... And then the book did a complete turn around (cant tell you without spoiling) and the characters became more interesting so I decided to give the book four stars. Until nearing the end.....completely blew my mind (again, no spoilers). Definitely changed to a five star book.
