In Her Shadow by Mark Edwards
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Mark Edwards has written a whole slew of books and this is the 5th one of his that I have read. I received it as an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review. This book will not be out until next week. I must admit firsthand that I wasnt sure about it because there was some reference to psychic happenings in the book, but the more I read (which is why you should give a book more than a few pages) the more I wanted to turn the page to see just what was happening.
Jessica lost her sister, Izzy, to what the police termed as an accident. But she wasnt so sure it was, and five years after her death Jessica's own daughter (who wasnt yet born when Izzy died) is now coming up statements that Izzy is talking to her about that time.
Wanting to get to the bottom of this Jessica goes ahead and tries to find out who "killed" her sister, only to be pulled into more scenarios surrounding her sister's death that she never knew. I ended up finding myself wanting to finish this book to see if this was a murder, or accident and just how psychic Jessica's daughter was.....very happy I did - didnt expect the ending....looking forward to more books by Edwards.
