My journey in losing weight has been a long one.
I have been on a diet all my life. I have lost and gained many times and most of the time I have gained. But I have finally come to terms with my weight and started on the road to recovery.
Joining Weight Watchers was the best thing ever. Losing slowly I finally found a way to come to realize that I can do this. It is a life sentence I will follow for the rest of my life. Sometimes I will hit my goals and sometimes I will fail. But all times I will pick myself up and brush myself off and begin again.
Just the other day I planned to eat out with family. Restaurants are hard for me because I order everything from soup to nuts. So I planned the day by eating light for breakfast and lunch and leaving most of my points for dinner. I still felt guilty because I ate food I haven't had in a long time including that apple pie. But I enjoyed it, even had my wine.
And so the next day, as I stepped on the scale I was again hit with a gain. But I let it go and got back on the wagon watching what I ate for the next day or two. Have already lost a pound. I really dont feel guilty about the slip, it's the way people usually eat. Then they work it off, or watch their calories. And so I feel I did it, enjoyed the meal and the company and now back on the road.
It may take another year for me to lose all the weight I want - but each day brings me closer and closer to that final goal.
How about you? How are your weight loss journeys going?

I like your positive outlook! It's true that we all have our days when we don't always eat what we should. The key is to do what you did, and realize it's okay and to just keep going on the healthy path.
