Hello Cicadas.....

Yes, according to this article in the NYTimes.....for the past two decades....20 years....the cicadas have been growing underground and have now decided to come above ground to mate and then DIE.  Yes, they lay their eggs and then swiftly die.  Imagine the life they have.  To be underground for nearly 20 years and you finally see the light of day.....and then you die.

  ...if you know anything about them, they are the noisiest things alive.  They stick on your trees and make noise first thing in the morning....and early.  But apparently after meeting up with their mate, making more babies....they die....instantly.....

And apparently dogs find them so yummy and will gorge themselves of them......now that you have this interesting fact......what do you think?
