Due to be released June 27th...I was lucky enough to get an ARC from #Netgalley and having read other books from this author, I was thrilled and happy to read it. Again, McKenzie gets you to hand on to the story of Cassie who escapes an abusive husband. She goes back to what she did before - Search and Rescue in Yosemite....and fits right in. We find her interacting with some of the hikers, visitors and old friends.
But then there is a rescue, somewhat similar to an earlier one Cassie was on many years ago. And this is where the story gets interesting. A page turner until we hit the twist I was not expecting and the story gets even more intense because I truly did not see that one coming. You will not be disappointed in this author...until its release try reading some of her other books as they are great too!
