This book was not my usual genre but when it came up in a book group I belong to it peaked my interest. It was a story that starts nicely with a family going to the beach. While the mom, Bethany, takes a nap, her husband and son go play in the ocean. When she awakes, they are no longer there so she runs into the ocean looking for them. When doing so, she hits her head, passes out and begins a spiritual journey to meet "Him". She passes by so many people who went before her. She also meets up with her father who abused her, recalling that bad time in her life.
A simple story that makes you think of the hereafter but also makes you realize we all have a short time in this world and what we do in it is so important.
