Jody and Martin Asher have it all.  Money, and being an upstanding citizen in the world of politics is everything Jody has ever wanted.  But we find greed always gets in the way.  She wants control and has found a way to get it.  

This was a good story but somewhat dragged on with a lot of politics talk. Not a fan of Jody and her antics but did want to see the ending so I finished this book.  She played her role quite well and got her way, but would have liked a little more drama.  Very predictable.  I have read other Rouda books and while not a fan of this one, I will continue to read her books.
