My rating: 4 of 5 stars
When I started this book by Sager (read others by him that I loved) I was a bit disappointed and could not get through the first 10 chapters. It was slow and I love a book that hooks you in the first chapter. I read a few reviews that kept praising this book so I pushed through a few more chapters and wow, glad I did. The story turned to a great mystery, a surprise twist and an amazing suspenseful read.
Casey, recently widowed go to her parents cabin in Vermont to grieve. A heavy drinker, she decides to pass the time watching Tom and Kate across the lake. This hobby turns interesting when Kate disappears and Casey decides Tom is responsible. Great story and surprises in this one.
