Oh Grisham.....your books thrill me....kept me wanting more. A great story of legal affairs, lawyers and the games they play. Take Samantha out of NY after her firm downsizes...but she is offered an internship in Virginia for one year with the possibility of returning to the NY firm And on an adventure she goes...she is thrust into a turmoil of coal miners and their problems, helping people with not only no hope but also no money. Samantha gets involved in their lives, families and their fight for a better life.


Will she remain there or yearn to go back to NY....great read, mystery, thrills and romance all rolled up in one story.....but...alas, not the ending I expected....a little disappointed...hence the 4 stars.
