As the days go by

and they are flying by, too quickly I believe.  As many of you know, I am employed full time, mother of 5; grandma of 8....and among my jobs I also take on the responsibility of making jewelry.

But alas I have been away from my blogging, my jewelry and sometimes even my computer.  The past five weeks, I am sorry to say, have been filled with frequent trips to the hospital to see a long time friend who was just last month diagnosed with cancer.  He passed away after a quick 35 days of suffering, being sent back and forth between the nursing home and hospital.

Even the trip to the Cancer Center did nothing but confirm the worst.....that he did not have long to live.  He was made comfortable while my husband and I tried to get his affairs in order.  We picked up his mail, contacted people who wanted to speak with him to say their goodbyes.  He wasted away right in front of us and was gone so quick, it still takes my breath away.  To be continued...............
