Bus Run Bus

Well, here I am in NY and there is a school bus strike.  Working in a school affords me the upfront view on what this does to both our children and staff.  The first day of the strike it rained...so not only did parents have to bring their children to school but in the midst of boots and umbrellas...they trudged to school to get their children an education.

But lets just say considering the chaos, it went pretty well.  But in the long run, how are we doing it.  Some of these students are special needs children and it is both hard for them and their parents to make this adjustment.  On the other hand, I can understand the bus drivers and their feelings about any contract negotiations that might put them out of work altogether.

So lets just hope this strike does not go on too long, so we can all be happy and get back to normal, especially the children.
