I am here -

Hello fellow bloggers....it has been 10 days since I last blogged.  This was due to Hurricane Sandy which impacted the East Coast and hit NYC with a punch.....among other things.  It has devastated a great state and left many homeless and some losing loved ones.

I consider myself lucky....the whole family is fine, some of us are very cold withoit heat and hot water, some lost power and some - like me - had a 4 ft flood downstairs and two cars that went under water.  At 9 pm on Oct 29 the creek on the next block rose and ran down the street...taking with it cars, flower pots, pumpkins, trees, garbage cans etc.  Here are only a few pictures....

 

So the cleanup begins.....everything came out of the apartment, we ordered a new furnace and hot water heater - after 5 days of cold.....the appliances are coming tomorrow, and then the place will be gutted for clean up.....more to come....

 

There are people  who are dealing with alot more than me, so I consider myself lucky
