Making Strides

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of meeting up with some friends from work and walking with the Honeybees for the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk in Prospect Park.....it was a beautiful day and a great turnout.....we came in #13 out of 1222 teams.....I am always proud to participate in this run not only for friends who are survivors but I have a greater appreciation for what the American Cancer Society does since undergoing a breast biopsy last year.  Just that part alone was mind boggling and being one of the lucky ones whose results were benign, I can feel a closeness to those who were not so lucky.

I saw women there who were 22 year survivors and have a great respect for them and for anyone who has been touched by this cancer....so every year I look forward to walking and raising money for this cause.....until next year....may we all stay healthy.
